You’ve spent your whole life in Hartwell, waiting for something to change. Then a mysterious girl arrives—and suddenly, your quiet little town holds possibilities you never imagined. 

Set in the early 1990s, Hartwell is a narrative adventure about mystery, connection and finding a reason to move forward. Its branching story is shaped by the decisions you make in the game and the goals you pursue in your own life. 

Your progress becomes part of the story.

Completing those goals triggers developments in Hartwell, opening new encounters, conversations and story possibilities. Your choices within those moments help determine where the narrative goes and how your relationships develop. 

We’re developing AI-driven character interactions alongside branching storylines, allowing conversations and relationships to evolve through your choices and shared experiences. The aim is an organic, personal journey, with room for unexpected connections and discoveries. 

Inspired by the goal-setting and positive reinforcement found in self-care apps, Hartwell brings those ideas into an unfolding narrative. Everyday efforts become connected to people you get to know, mysteries you want to understand, and a world you help shape.
