Really enjoyed this one, super creative and fun (and funny) little game that's like a classic adventure crossed with WarioWare, given how different every little area/puzzle/action sequence is. I'm definitely gonna buy Quest for the X. Love how you're pushing what can be done with Pulp visuals as well. (And hey, anyone else suddenly craving a Twin Peaks game?).
Slight spoilers: After playing through several times, I could never figure out how to get to the debug room, so you hid that well. I know how to get the <<spoiler item>>, and then tried to trigger an actual bug I found which gets you stuck in the sky (if you exit via the upper left of the screen with the people outside), but no luck. I'd appreciate a tiny hint if you're willing to provide one!
A Twin Peaks inspired mystery game is a great idea... Have you player Kentucky Route Zero BTW?
Thank you so much for taking the time to write. Comments and connection to players are really the biggest motivation in creating my games, but unfortunately it happens less than you might think.
Hmmm... the addition of the description "with the people outside" has be actually unsure of which you found.... it sounds like you collected all the required items to collect the <<spoiler item>> and release the actual bug which runs across the screen to the left and creates a new exit. But this should go directly to the debug room. And this exit is from inside a room with the most people in it... I'll check that is working correctly now, but let me know if I may be misunderstanding of your description as well.
Thanks for helping me figure it out, knew there had to be another use for the button! Incidentally, playing through it again, can't get over how damn funny the sprites are. Love the swaying animation of the little dude.
Sorry my last post was confusingly-worded. Basically, my first time through the game I found an actual game-breaking bug that gets you stuck in the sky if you exit via the top left of the "people outside" screen. So my insane logic, after I found the actual bug (the item), was that I had to take it to the game-breaking bug (which totally seemed like it could be intentional in this kind of game). So I guess this is a bug report (with the qualifier that it didn't interfere with the fun, since I was replaying it anyway).
You're not the first person to ask if I've played Kentucky Route Zero so I think I really need to get on that! I actually bought it on my Switch a while back and am definitely gonna finally play it soon.
Is the "people outside" screen the campus scene with the rubbish bin and the boombox? I'll have a look there to see where that unintentional bug may be... actually, I really like your idea of making that a bug + bug fix for a future game!
Found the bug and fixed it! Thanks alot. And thanks for your feedback on the character design-- I really enjoy squeezing alot out of the small size, and letting the player use their imagination to fill in the rest.

This looks good - but Is there a trick of some kind to the bottle choices? It's driving me a bit mental.
There is a way to discern the difference between a mezcal bottle and a poison bottle…
There's hope! Great. I'll polish my specs and get down to it. Thanks so much for hint!
Also, there are some ways to increase your health in the room if you hunt around…
very good
Thanks so much for playing and commenting!

Definitely play KRZ. One of my favourites.

A short and varied stream of consciousness adventure, I enjoyed it!
Awesome! Thanks for the playthrough! Did you find the easter eggs?
All good to go now!
We will advise not downloading until we get some more info back from the devs at PlayDate too figure out what the issue might be.
Cleaned up some other minor issues, but it doesn't look like the crashing/restarting issue is related to Heavy Drinker. There have been some further comments in the linked thread that may shed some light. https://devforum.play.date/t/device-boot-loop-possible-launcher-bug/11410/5
Okay, let me figure out what's going on. I'll put the file on pause. Thanks!
