3 Ages of a Soldier Character Sprite Sheet

Create a legendary soldier and story spanning a lifetime of missions with this awesome modern character sprite overlay!

This is a third-party add-on for the Mana Seed Character Base asset. It functions like a paper doll layer, so you must own the Character Base in order to use this.

The Mana Seed Character Base is a layered sprite system that uses separate sheets for clothes, hair, weapons, etc. all with identical layouts so they can be swapped out at runtime.

The "3 Ages of a Soldier" asset pack available here currently includes the following overlays:

• Green Combat Uniform & Dark Boots
• Red Bandana
• Young Brown Hairstyle
• Middle-Aged Brown Hairstyle & Beard 
• Old-Aged White Hairstyle & Beard
• Assault Rifle (in 4 variations)

These overlays are designed to work with the following Mana Seed Character Base animations in 4 directions (up, down, left, right):

• Character Base PAGE 1 
  • 1-frame standing
  • 6-frame walking
  • 6-frame running
  • 2-frame pushing heavy object
  • 2-frame pulling heavy object
  • 4-frame jumping
• Character Base PAGE 4
  • 5-frame climbing (in one direction, up)
  • Shocked emote (while facing down only) 
  •  2-frame looking left and right while facing down 
  •  2-frame drinking at a bar (facing left/right only)
  • 1-frame alternate idle standing (hand on hip) 
  •  2-frame alternate idle standing (arms crossed, toe-tapping) 
  •  2 chair-sitting poses 
  •  2 floor-sitting poses 
  •  4 sleeping poses (in one direction, to fit in Mana Seed beds)

In addition, rifle combat overlays are provided to work with the following Mana Seed Bow Combat animations in 4 directions (up, down, left, right) and in 4 rifle variations:

• Bow Combat PAGES 1-3 
  • Readying/putting away rifle
  • Firing rifle straight
  • Getting hit by an attack 
  •  Getting knocked to the ground 
  •  Parrying an attack  
  •  Evading an attack 
  •  4-frame combat-ready idle 
  •  4-frame combat-ready move 
  •  Lunge/leap forward 
  •  Retreat/leap backward

Potential future updates include hand-to-hand-combat, more weapon and outfit variations, and additional Character Base animations such as fishing, blacksmithing, etc.
